About the Fellowship
Raj Square Charity Foundation focuses on WE RAISE and ME RAISE, which aims to enhance academic mobility by encouraging Indian researchers to collaborate with global institutions.
WE RAISE (Women Enablement in Research, Applications, Innovation, Science & Technology, and Entrepreneurship) is an empowerment program where we’ve served several young women in India for over 12 years. We regularly acknowledge and honour women’s contributions in all sectors. The WE RAISE Fellowship is a prestigious multidisciplinary award celebrating the outstanding achievements of women.
ME RAISE (Men Enablement in Research, Applications, Innovation, Science & Technology, and Entrepreneurship) is an empowerment program where we’ve served several young men in India for over 12 years. We regularly acknowledge and honour women’s contributions in all sectors. The ME RAISE Fellowship is a prestigious multidisciplinary award celebrating the outstanding achievements of men.
The purpose of these awards is to raise awareness, recognise and honour the hard work and valuable contribution women of all cultures, communities, races, and beliefs, in all sectors make. We strongly believe, the researchers/professors efforts would go even farther with your research outcomes and success.
Based on the feedback from the mentors, we provide funds/grants from $60 (~₹5,000) to $6000 (~₹5,00,000) which can be used for international/national travel expenses, intellectual property rights (patents/copyrights), international publications and other research subsidiaries. We provide crowdfunded research funds/grants to researchers/professors.
This fellowship is for visiting researchers from India who will carry out research in a foreign institution. The fellowship aims to honour institutions by supporting exceptional researchers who are pursuing innovative projects that have the potential to impact society, science, and technology. Through the fellowship, we hope to empower talented scholars who embody the spirit of curiosity, perseverance, and innovation.

Purpose of the Fellowship:
1. To Support INDIA-GLOBAL Collaboration
Providing financial support to Indian researchers working on innovative projects to visit various countries, collaborate, and present their work either in conferences, symposiums, and/or at academic institutions.
To work on cutting-edge or novel topics, contributing significantly to advancements in technologies.
Focus is on global experience, allowing researchers to experience diverse cultures, work environments, and understand their technologies.
To encourage MAKE IN INDIA ideas, solutions, and products.
2. To Promote Innovation, Knowledge Advancement, and Career Advancement (skilling, upskilling, and reskilling)
Research funding fosters groundbreaking discoveries that can address sustainability and societal challenges, from healthcare improvements to technological advancements.
It enables researchers to explore innovative ideas that might otherwise remain unfunded due to a lack of immediate commercial viability.
Research & Development (R&D) / Technology Training for the researchers.
Beyond research, the professors will enhance skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership.
Publications, projects, and collaborations during the fellowship enhance the academic and professional profile.
Postdoctoral experience is often a prerequisite for academic positions or leadership roles in research-intensive fields.

Many researchers, particularly in developing regions, institutions, or niche fields, struggle to secure adequate funding through traditional channels like government grants or industry sponsorships.
Our foundation focuses on underfunded areas, supporting projects that align with its mission.

Postdocs often focus extensively on research, leading to high-impact publications, patents, and/or copyrights.
9. To Enhance Reputation, Collaboration and Networking

It attracts partnerships with universities, industries, and other charitable organisations, further amplifying its impact.
Post Doc helps enhance skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership, which actually helps build expertise that is valuable in policy-making, consulting, and think-tank roles.
Working closely with experienced researchers can provide valuable guidance and mentoring.
Participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars helps build relationships within the academic and professional community.
Eligibility Criteria for Researchers
To be eligible for the funding/grants, applicants must:
Be actively pursuing PhD/PostDoc in any technology-based domain.
Must be an Indian Citizen residing in India who is keen to carry out research in a foreign institution.
Demonstrate a commitment to innovation and impactful research that aligns with the Government of India's initiatives.
Show a proven record of academic excellence and leadership within their field.
Expected Outcomes from Researchers
Thr program duration is 1 year. The applicants are expected to deliver the following outcomes:
Innovative Research: Researchers will be expected to produce original research that demonstrates creativity, rigor, and the potential to contribute to significant advancements in their respective fields.
Impactful Publications: Fellows should aim to publish their findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals/conferences, ensuring that their work reaches a wide audience and makes a lasting contribution to the global knowledge base.
Practical Applications: Wherever possible, the research should have practical implications that can address real-world challenges and bring about societal or technological advancements.
By achieving these outcomes, fellows will not only honor the memory of the Raj Brothers but will also contribute to their vision of a future where research and innovation improve the lives of people around the world.
Fellowship Steps:
The steps we follow
Step 1: Researcher/Professor to submit the application with a project proposal (1 year timeline).
Step 2: The Researcher/Professor and Project proposal will be reviewed and shortlisted.
Step 3: Through donation-based crowdfunding, we will receive funds from academic experts or industry experts.
Step 4: The crowdfunds will be given directly to the researcher/professor or to the vendors/service providers.
Step 5: The funds will be released based on the project supervisor/mentor's review, voting within the researchers, and only at the end of the project year (1 year) which can be used for foreign travel, training programs, publications, and/or patents.
Step 6: The expected outcomes mentioned in the project proposal to be achieved.

Recipients of the WE RAISE / ME RAISE fellowship will receive:
